Today we’re all interviewing characters from our books, which sounds like fun! Lil is the main character at Christmas at The Gingerbread Cafe, and the follow up book, Chocolate Dreams at the Gingerbread Cafe, so let’s grill her…
You say you use cooking almost like a meditation, what do you mean by that?
Lil- Did I say that? Ha Ha I think you said that about me, Bec! (Bec – Oh this is SO weird!) But yes, cooking or baking is a major stress reliever for me. I find it easy to get lost, hypnotised by what I’m doing that any other thoughts fall away, and I’m 100 percent focused on what I’m making. And then there’s the added bonus of being able to eat whatever it is I’ve made, it’s a win win!
Soooo, is Damon as delicious as he sounds?
Lil -Haha! All that and more! He is swoon worthy, and pretty much everyone in Ashford loves him!
CeeCee is one of my favourite characters in the book, I love her straight talking, no nonsense approach to life, what is she like in real life?
Lil – She’s exactly as you’ve written her, Bec. (Bec, Phew!) She’s bubbly and funny, and doesn’t suffer fools. She speaks fast, and uses all those southern-isms to get her point across, and there’s no way you can’t love her. She’s the kind of person you want to be friends with. And her pies, let me tell you right now, you’d move to Ashford to be near her if you ever sampled her orange kissed strawberry pie. Like I say in Chocolate Dreams at the Gingerbread Cafe, it tastes as good as a summer holiday!
Chocolate Dreams at the Gingerbread Cafe will be available late March. You can find out what the gang get up to then! Thanks for stopping by today, Lil!
Thanks for having me!
